PITT OHIO and the Pittsburgh Power to Hold 4 Food Drives

Pittsburgh Transportation, Logistics Company & Arena Football Team ask fans to support Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

Pittsburgh, PA (April 23, 2012) – PITT OHIO announced its partnership with the Pittsburgh Power Arena Football team and their plans to collect donations for Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank at four upcoming Power football home games. Fans are encouraged to stop by the Trib Total Media Gate at the Consol Energy Center before each game and donate a nonperishable grocery item to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

PITT OHIO and volunteers from each charity listed below will be on hand to collect your donations. PITT OHIO will collect all of the donations and deliver it to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank the following Monday. Every fan who makes a food donation will be entered into a drawing for a Pittsburgh Power Merchandise prize pack which will also include tickets to a future Power game.

"We are excited to add the Pittsburgh Power to our list of sports friends in Pittsburgh," said D. Jermaine Husser, CEO of the Food Bank. "We know Pittsburgh sports fans are passionate people who care just as much about their community as they do about their teams. Many thanks also to our friends at PITT OHIO, our partner in the fight against hunger for many years."

In addition to the food drives, the Pittsburgh Power is offering discounted game tickets in the Lower Level Section (Regularly $35) for only $20. The Pittsburgh Power will donate $10 of each $20 ticket sold to the respective charity for that night. ABOUT THE PITTSBURGH POWER

Arena football is the most exciting sport to experience live. It is a high scoring, offense-oriented game with wall to wall action from the opening kickoff to the final buzzer. Half the field, twice the excitement! The action is non-stop, with teams averaging over 50 points per game. One of the great things about arena football is the fact that the fans are so close to the action. You can sit in the last row of the 1st level of CONSOL Energy Center for a Power game and you are still closer to the field than you would be if you sat first row at an NFL game. If you have never seen an arena football game before, you really have to come experience it for yourself. The Power are proud to be a fan-first organization and we provide our fans with unparalleled access to our players. Following each game, our fans are invited down onto the field for our "Meet the Power" autograph session. This has become a favorite of families across the Pittsburgh area!
